“Colleen has been an amazing influence on my recent and successful health transformation. She was available on the spot when I needed guidance for specific questions and was positive and encouraging in our weekly check-ins. She was everything I needed for long term success: I'm still following her plan long after we concluded our private sessions! I recommend her to everyone - all types and in all phases of their health and wellness”! Colin C.
“Knowing I am feeding my body in a manner that will allow it to perform well (rather than hurting my body with too much sugar and empty carbs and dehydration) is very rewarding. Taking control of my health through eating gives me great satisfaction”. Suzie N.
My journey in nutrition began in 2014 after I began experiencing random health problems and was finally coming to terms with the fact that I had not felt like “myself” for quite a while. I had developed anxiety, felt unmotivated, and was constantly tired. I knew something had to change because the outgoing and active person I once was had become a fatigued and unmotivated empty shell.
I began doing research about health and nutrition and started incorporating these teachings into my diet, I figured that I had nothing to lose. I was a vegetarian living the low-fat dream so some of these changes were not only mind blowing but the extreme opposite to my diet of the last decade. I went in head first and began eating grass-fed meats, cooking with butter, eating organic fruits and vegetables while also eliminating all processed foods, grains, and refined sugar from my diet. I embraced these changes and over time energy, happiness, and motivation slowly started to fill my empty shell.
With this new found outlook on diet, nutrition, and the healing powers it can posses, I realized I needed to follow this path because the passion for wanting to know more and share with others had become too big to ignore. Through online research I came across the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) and found the holistic approach of healing through the powers of “real food” to be the perfect fit for me. The support from my family, CrossFit community, and friends have been uncanny and the love has made this journey more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined. I now hope to dedicate the rest of my life to helping others fill their “broken shell” through nutrition just as it helped me because life is too short to feel less than yourself and to miss out on all the delicious in life.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I believe in the healing properties of real food and the ability to reverse the negative effects of the modern diet by replacing it with a nutritiously dense diet. I treat every client like the bio individual self they are to get to the root of their symptoms instead of just trying to mask symptoms with modern medicine.
